Prizegiving

26th Jun 2025

Today we held our Prizegiving to reward our pupils for their outstanding efforts throughout the school year.

Mr Tierney presented to all the boys and girls in Years 4-7 who were rewarded for their sporting achievements. As a school we have had a fantastic year of sport with many firsts - finals of Cumann and mBunscol and Netball tournament winners and also our running team.

We also awarded 2 pupils for 100% attendance - Mia Quinn and Sarah Fulton, well done girls! There were quite a few other pupils who achieved very high attendance rates who were also awarded.

Mrs Quinn presented the Accelerated readers in years 5-7 with their awards for both improvements throughout the year and top scores in quizzes.

Mathletics awards were presented by Mrs Toner to those who came top in their class with consistent high marks. Special recognition goes to Jake in Year 5 who is the first in the school to achieve a Platinum certificate and is currently placed 84th in the UK, an amazing achievement considering all schools within UK use Mathletics. Well done Jake!

Digital leaders were rewarded for their work throughout the school year by Miss Nugent.

Finally The School Council were all rewarded for their fabulous work this year - they have been the instigators for so many new initiatives in school such as Staff Compliments Day. They have also been fabulous ambassadors for the school and have worked so hard all year long.
